Good News! Passport Stamping has been started in India for International Student Visas!

During the second wave of the Covid-19 in India, the VFS offices were closed by the Government. In May, the Covid-19 cases were at their peak. With time, now these cases are declining. Undoubtedly, every person is under stress due to the pandemic. International students are also in a worry as some of them were not able to get the PPR or file processing. And students who got their results are worried about their passport stamping. During the record lockdown on April 22, some students got a blank passport from the VFS with a letter for the reason of returning.

But now, here is good news for the students who got their results in April and haven't got their passport stamped yet.

From July 5th, 2021, VFS has started passport stamping in phases. Students who had filled their 2-two courier fees before lockdown and got their passport without results are the first preference. They are getting emails regarding passport stamping. The visa authorities will send the payment link to the student through their registered emails. Once the payment is done, the students will able to send their passports to the VFS.

In addition to this, the direct flights are expected to resume by the starting of August month. The students who got their passports stamped before lockdown are able to reach their destination through indirect flights. They need to choose a country like Mexico, Serbia, etc.
